Karolina Rosiak, Ph.D. is an assistant professor at the Celtic Studies Research Unit, Faculty of English at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. Her research focuses on the sociolinguistics of the Welsh language, particularly in the context of international migration to Wales. She explores language attitudes and ideologies, as well as the motivation of international migrants to learn minority languages. Additionally, she has a strong interest in the cultural connections between Wales and Poland. As a member of Stowarzyszenie Polish for You (Polish for You Association), she participates in the Polish Café project—a grassroots, non-profit initiative that fosters linguistic integration through informal, regular meetings between immigrants living in Poznań and native Polish speakers.
