Rekar Abdulhamed

Dr. Rekar Abdulhamed is a postdoctoral researcher in educational psychology at University of Helsinki, Finland, and a visiting researcher at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare. His doctoral dissertation investigated the mental health disparities, acculturation, and linked socioecological factors among children and adolescents of immigrant origin in Finland. Rekar currently studies psychosocial wellbeing, acculturation, belonging, ostracism, and future orientations among immigrant-origin youth in Finland in the Right to Belong -project, funded by the Strategic Research Council of Finland.
