Naiara Berasategi

University of the Basque Country, Didatic and School Organization
Naiara Berasategi Sancho is Full professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of the Basque Country. She is the Director of the Department of Didactic and School Organization. in Degree in Primary Education (with a specialization in Special Education), diploma in Special Education Teaching, sociologist, and international doctorate from the University of the Basque Country. She wrote her doctoral thesis in relation to the linguistic and cultural diversity in the Basque School and the use of Basque language. Her research focuses on social and educational inclusion, linguistic and cultural diversity, vulnerable groups, and students with special needs and educational support needs. She belongs to the Inkluni research group and the consolidated KideON research group. She has several impact articles and books in relation with linguistic and cultural diversity and minority languages. She is the principal investigator in several competitive Erasmus+ projects, in Spanish Ministry founded projects and in University-Business-Society projects for the University of the Basque Country. She has participated and continues to participate in innovation projects related to higher education and new teaching methodologies. She has completed several visiting professor residencies at the University of Reno-Nevada (United States), the University of Malta, University College Dublin, and the Institute of Higher Studies of Ecuador (Quito).
