Howard Ramos is a political sociologist who investigates issues of social justice and equity. He is the Chair of the Department of Sociology at Western University and has researched and published on social movements, human rights, Indigenous mobilization, environmental advocacy, immigration, ethnicity, race, and Atlantic Canada. He is also Chair of the Canadian Statistics Advisory Council.
